Sinners Club by Lucy Rivers • 7-24 Feb • The Other Room at Porter’s
Welcome to the Sinners Club, a club like no other, where the band never stops and the drink keeps on flowing. Your hostess for the evening has some confessions to make, some songs to sing about love, jealousy, loss, and a story that will take you to hell and back. But don’t worry she’s not so blue, she wants you to have fun too. So come on in, speak easy, grab a drink and have a
listen – in the Sinners club every God damn sinner is forgiven. Sinners Club is pure gig-theatre from the same team who brought you ‘The Bloody Ballad’, set in a drinking joint where all lost souls are welcome. A co-production between an all-Welsh team of The Other Room, Gagglebabble (Wonderman, The Forsythe Sisters, The Bloody Ballad of Mary Maid) and Theatr Clwyd, Sinners Club will be directed by Titas Halder (St Nicholas). Expect blood and guts music washed down with a cocktail of stories about lives lost to sin. As dawn breaks and you emerge bleary eyed back into the world, their songs will be ringing in your ears along with the ominous warning, ‘Do you know what you’re capable of?’
