The idea for a digital magazine focusing on Canada grew from Re:locate Global’s first-ever visit to the Canadian Employee Relocation Council’s annual conference, where I was struck by the enthusiasm of the delegates and the energy of the country’s mobility sector.

We hope to expand on this first edition to produce regular issues of the magazine, building towards the CERC’s 2016 conference in Vancouver.
This is an exciting time for mobility professionals in Canada, and for those doing business in the region. The Liberal Party took office in last autumn’s general election with a new plan for economic opportunity. Enterprise is a key focus, as was shown by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s recent address to the World Economic Forum in Davos and his government’s promised initiatives to reform the immigration system in a bid to improve the country’s ability to attract the best talent from around the world.
And, with the traditional mainstays of oil and gas and rail in something of a decline, rising sectors like technology and videogames are powering ahead.
Our new Guide To International Education & Schools is full of practical information to help HR and relocation professionals to support families, with lively articles to reassure parents.
