Tyre pressure monitoring for added handling safety and enhanced comfort.

According to an EU directive, all vehicles registered from November 2014 must be fitted with a tyre pressure monitoring system. The system can alert the driver to a reduction in tyre pressure in one or more wheels while the vehicle is on the move, preventing serious consequences. Sensors in the wheel monitor the tyre pressure and air temperature. The tyre pressure monitoring system prompts the driver to correct the tyre pressure in the event of a problem. If there is a significant drop in pressure during the journey, a warning immediately appears in the display, alerting the driver.

Maintaining the correct tyre pressure, however, isn’t just a matter of safety: it also reduces fuel consumption and as a result CO2

emissions,

enhances ride comfort, protects the chassis components and extends the life of the tyre.
