We are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Alex Yerkes to our practice!
Dr. Alexandra Yerkes grew up in Virginia Beach, VA, and was bitten by the horse bug in middle school when she decided she had to become an equine veterinarian. She rode hunter/jumpers through high school and expanded to fi eld and cross country at Sweet Briar College where she majored in Biology and English and minored in Chemistry. After graduation, she attended Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine with a focus on Equine Medicine. While in veterinary school, Alex was the community outreach chair for the student chapter of AAEP. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include reproductive medicine and neonatal health and sports rehabilitation. In her free time, Alex enjoys riding and training her two dogs, Gemma Belle and Kitt, and containing her ferret, Mushu. Alex is looking forward to living in Maryland and being a part of Erskine & Associates as well as Damascus Equine Associates!
Damascus Equine Associates offers 24/7 emergency coverage to clients, digital radiography, digital ultrasound, shock wave, IRAP, PRP and an outpatient clinic at our offi ce. Our goal is to provide compassionate care to your horse.
