Community Foundation of Southern Maryland’s execu- tive director Sharon Southerland-Smith and board mem- ber Wilberto Flores recently presented Jolanda Campbell (Executive Director of Greenwell Foundation) and Jenn Emmart (Greenwell’s Equestrian Program Director) with a $5,000 grant from their Opportunity Fund in support of Greenwell’s new Mindful Meadow.

MHC and TROT member Gale Monahan took her new horse Jerry to an obstacle event put on by MSQHA and Mt. Airy Saddle Pals on April 6 at the Howard County Fairgrounds.


TROT members held a horsemanship clinic with David Beard and Jimmy Wagner in April. The clinic, held at Sevens Ranch, focused on improving each rider’s relationship and communica- tion with their horse.
