Marylanders Make Waves in 2021, continued...
Congratulations to Katie Triantos of Roll- ing Acres Farm in Brookeville on earning a USEF National Championship in the Small Junior Hunter Older Division with Gossip Girl (pictured). Triantos also finished fifth nation- ally with Candidate in the Large Junior Hunter Older Division. In addition, Triantos earned five Top 10 rankings for U.S. Hunter/Jumper Asso- ciation Zone 3 and was Champion Small Junior Hunter Older Division with Gossip Girl locally for the Maryland Horse Shows Association. With Candidate, she was Large Junior Hunter Older Division Reserve Champion for Mary- land Horse Shows Association.
Kudos to MHC-member Carolyn Krome’s Per- simmon Tree Farm in Westminster for being Maryland Leopold Conservation Award finalist.

Congratulations to Mary Schlachter for being named the inaugural Maryland 5 Star Out- standing Volunteer. Jeff Newman and Mary Coldren of the Maryland 5 Star presented her the Edward Johnson Trophy, donated by the Maryland Combined Training Association. Schlachter is one of the many unsung heros who worked tirelessly over the past few years to bring the new five-star event to life.
Kudos to Sundown Reveille +/, owned by Claire Godwin, DVM, of Laytonsville, for be- ing ranked number one in the Northeast Region of the American Endurance Ride Conference. At 20 years old, “Rev” completed 715 competi- tion miles in 2021, bringing his lifetime miles to 6675. Together Rev & Godwin have won seven out of 15 rides in 2021 and were named Best Conditioned three times.
Kudos to Angela Edelson who rode Maureen Edelson’s Arnaby Bocelli to the U.S. Hunter/ Jumper Association Zone 2 Horse of the Year honors. Te pair also were the USHJA Zone 2 Large Green Pony Hunter division champions.
