I am delighted to have achieved Gold Medal status in the adult jumper division,” she said. Lauren Glickman of Washington,
DC was awarded the Dover Adult Amateur Jumper Silver Medal at the MHSA awards banquet. Glickman, who trains with JoAnn Schaudies of Poolesville, has a demanding career in communications but still manages to ride four times a week.

T e Dover Adult Amateur Jumper Medal Program was conducted as a pilot in partnership with the MHSA to bring innovative awards to adult amateur jumper riders competing at the regional level. To achieve medal status, riders were required to post clear rounds in at least seven adult
amateur jumper classes throughout the compe- tition year at MHSA-approved regional horse shows. Additional clear rounds as well as fi rst and second placings were required for Silver and Gold Medal status. T is innovative for- mat allowed adult amateur riders to set goals and garner recognition based on their personal achievements with their horses.
Maryland Horse Trials Launches Trainers Program
For the fi rst time in 2016, the Maryland Horse Trials at Loch Moy Farm in Adamstown off ered a trainers’ incentive pro- gram to recognize train- ers who bring students to the U.S.
