‘As fresh as it gets’ I
Reserve four dazzlingly fresh NEW VINTAGE Sauvignons in a special showcase for just £30 … as they race across the water to the UK
n 1886 the great clipper ships – the greyhounds of the sea – raced
to bring home the fi nest tea crop of the season … so the aristocracy could enjoy it at its freshest best.
New traditions – 150 years on! I
n 2016 we are racing four mouthwatering family estate Kiwi
Sauvignons in a totally exclusive UK showcase – so you can taste the much anticipated 2016 vintage fi rst. The excellent summer and early autumn weather has led to winemakers being cockahoop with the rich, ripe fl avours.
Tony Laithwaite was there in March to help choose the wines, celebrating not just the vintage but pioneering links that go back over 30 years.
Talking about doing things fi rst … Tony is very proud that Laithwaite’s customers put this dazzling white wine style on the world wine map. You see, in 1986 a New Zealand Sauvignon was voted wine of show at our London Vintage Wine Festival – the Kiwis had arrived!
Needless to say, we have been there ever since, giving you private access to some of the best family-run estates, as the four wines here prove.
You’ve three from Marlborough: bestselling Sunday Bay, the lovely gooseberry-rich Mahau Sound and super-zingy Company Bay … plus Roroa from pretty Hawke’s Bay, the historic birthplace of Kiwi wine.
