NEW HQ FOR ARMANI
Giorgio Armani SpA has moved its European head office to 5 Howick Place in London’s Victoria. It is occupying the top floor of the new flagship building by joint developers Doughty Hanson & Co European Real Estate and Terrace Hill.
UBS Global Asset Management’s Central London office fund has been granted planning permission for a comprehensive refurbishment of 12 Golden Square W1, in London’s Soho.
The project – designed by Tate Hindle Architects – will create 26,800 sq ft of office space over lower ground, ground and six upper floors.
UBS-CLOVA Portfolio Manager, Sam Sananes, commented: “At a time of chronic under supply of high quality Soho offices, 12 Golden Square will offer occupiers fantastic space on floorplates of around 4,000 sq ft; superb roof terraces on the fourth and sixth floors; and what we believe is one of the best addresses in London’s West End”.
Colliers International and Bluebook are leasing agents for the project.
Colliers International’s Oliver King – who advised Armani on the letting commented: “Howick Place
is situated midway between the fashion centres of Bond Street and Sloane Street and is recognised as a sought-after destination among a community of stylish tenants.
“Victoria has already attracted the HQs of luxury brands Tom Ford and Jimmy Choo – with Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Moët Hennessy and Richemont all located nearby.”
FULL HOUSE FOR EPIC
The letting of the 3,070 sq ft third floor at 3 Burlington Gardens to Azerbaijani firm, Nobel Oil, means that the Mayfair office building is now fully let.
The building – which includes Cecconi’s restaurant on the ground floor – was comprehensively refurbished to provide 27,000 sq ft of Grade A office space by Epic UK. Other occupiers in the building include US private equity company Riverstone, and Campbell Lutyens. Colliers International and Levy were the letting agents for the project where rents of up to £105 per sq ft have been achieved.
