Openings (option)
These materials and finishes are options to be explored.
Grey Olive Green Galvanised finish
The Olive green colour is recommended which has been proposed in original application. This colour blends more effectively in its surroundings
Materials that form the external envelope of the buildings are likely to ‘weather’ over time and have more subdued tones. The building should use a restricted palette of materials and colours to reflect the local agricultural buildings and to blend with background and foreground vegetation.
Colour options
Timber cladding over steel shell is also an option which could be explored. There are not only aesthetic benefits of timber cladding but the internal building can be a steel shell and to bespoke specifications.
Mitigation bunding and planting measures ensures screening
