Senior Communications and Marketing Manager: Andrew Ames. PPL is the music licensing company working on behalf of over 100,000 performers and recording rightsholders to license recorded music broadcast (on radio, TV and online) and played in public (at pubs, nightclubs, offices and many other business types) across the UK. The company also operates an international royalty collection service, helping members get paid when their music is played internationally. After the deduction of running costs, PPL does not retain a profit for its services. PPL’s public performance licensing is now carried out on PPL’s behalf by PPL PRS Ltd, a joint venture between PPL and PRS for Music.
