Not complying with FCC or TIA standards might prevent you from getting paid. Ask your data connectivity vendors these questions:
Are the patch panels TIA/ETL “Component-Rated?” A component rating is a tougher standard than the “permanent link” rating some manufacturers claim to have.
Are the patch panels FCC part 68 compliant? FCC specifies 50 micro inch gold on contact. Every time you plug in, you shave off a little gold plating. 50 Gold insertion and withdrawal cycles.

Are the patch panels made with solderless PCB? Punch-down termination requires up to 50 pounds of harsh force. This force can break the solder joint between 110 and PCB. We only use solderless 110s.
Are the patch panels PoE rated? If you are installing a PoE system, a PoE rating is required. Without it, you risk damaging your equipment.
With all these enhancements, ICC patch panels still cost 50% less than the big brands. If you are still paying for big brands, we need to talk and perform better!
