ALL ABOARD! DESTINATION SUCCESS... Well, what a night!

March 16th, and over 240 people came together in York at the National Railway Museum to celebrate the very best internal communications and IC talent in our two mighty regions. And what a celebration it was!

The glittering 2017 Central and North IoIC Awards – the ExcellenceExpress – were the biggest and best in our history, thanks to the feedback and involvement of our members and volunteers from across the regions.

We gave out a record number of awards, some in new categories, and partied until the early hours. In fact, some partied until 9am the next morning! And, thanks to everyone who tweeted about the awards - we managed to get the #ExcellenceExpress trending on Twitter - which was another first!

We’re incredibly grateful to all the people and organisations who, over the past nine months, have given up their time to help us create the awards and the event.

The regional awards are important for a number of reasons. Primarily, they recognise the important work being done in internal communications across our regions. The awards also bring together in-house teams with consultants, agencies and events professionals for an evening of fun, laughter and networking.

And, finally, thanks to everyone who entered the awards and attended on the evening, the awards make an important financial contribution to help us run the IoIC, which as a not-for-profit organisation relies on our teams of volunteers to help us keep championing the work we do.

On behalf of everyone at the IoIC, thank you for your support. Many thanks

IoIC Central Director Rich Baker & North Director Andy Holt

Special thanks go to our distinguished judges who steamed ahead through mountains of entries. Thanks also go to Steve Moffatt for organising and briefing our judges, VMA for kindly volunteering their boardroom, and Brenda from IoIC for organising and transporting the trainload of entry submissions.
