YOUR SAFETY IN GOOD HANDS
Each day, companies lose money through avoidable hand injuries and accidents. TraffiGlove aims
to stem the tide through radical innovation and a simple colour-coded system.
Up to 40% of all workplace accidents involve hands to some degree, so having the right protection is a wise investment as well as a necessary health and safety measure. Here at TraffiGlove, we originated the colour- coded traffic light system to simplify hand safety worldwide. By applying the principle of low, medium and higher cut resistance to our gloves we arrived at the RED, AMBER, GREEN TraffiGlove system which seamlessly crosses language barriers and allows wearers to see the cut protection level of their gloves at a glance.
We’re proud that this system has improved safety for over 100,000 glove wearers around the world and continues to grow in popularity every day! However, our revolutionary colour-coded system is only one element which can be factored into our success; another is innovation.
INNOVATION IS KING At TraffiGlove, we’ve always retained an ongoing company desire and vision to invest in the future and stay ahead of the crowd. For this reason, we can always be found at the forefront of product innovation to ensure we offer our customers the best possible protection for the best value.
Currently, the latest innovations in the industry are resulting from nano-tech breakthroughs which allow greater levels of safety by adding highly- desirable qualities to existing ranges. The end result is the creation of new, superior end products which boast more features in each glove.
The new TraffiGlove range of safety gloves combines the best elements of this innovation trend, making use of new and proven technologies such as advanced coating blends and also new ultra-lightweight liners. These liners incorporate Dyneema® Diamond Technology, a thread innovation which is fifteen times stronger than steel and offers both a high cut resistance and maximum user dexterity and comfort!
THE BEST GETS BETTER One of the results of these innovations is our TG4090 ICONIC 4, a close-fitting fine gauge glove from our new range, featuring a uniquely blended coating (MicroDex Precise) and the latest Dyneema® Diamond Technology. This combination enables the glove to provide the ultimate in lightweight high cut protection, without glass fibre, and outstanding levels of grip and comfort.
With technologies such as these, TraffiGlove has shown that whilst many compounds used in safety gloves have commonly remained very traditional, it doesn’t have to stay that way.
Jon Clarkson, Technical and Innovation Director at TraffiGlove, said: “A lot of work that goes on is blending and combining compounds and polymers in new and different ways – taking a nano treatment and reducing surface tension so it’s oil resistant rather than oil permeable, for example. Or taking a regular compound such as latex

and adding an extra 10pc that makes it harder wearing with more abrasion resistance, while not increasing the overall weight.”
“We’re trying to take the best features of individual different polymers and combine them with the best of other polymers to create a super polymer – moving everything on! On the nano side of life, we can see things on a much smaller scale – and control them on a smaller scale too, which helps us break out of the mould of standard products.”
STAYING POWER We wanted to ensure our ICONIC range was relevant and in touch with modern technology. The range features medium level cut protection, yet the MicroDex coating is so sensitive it makes the gloves ideal for any application where touch-screen technology is used, including – but not limited to - smartphones and tablets.
As the industry evolves, we expect to see many more touch-screen devices becoming integrated into our daily working lives. With this innovative step forward into touch-screen interactive coatings, we’re proud to make sure you always stay connected!
Who said glove manufacturing had to stay ‘old-school’?
IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS Whilst our products help protect wearers from harm, we’re also committed to providing relevant, up- to-date industry insight for all, which you can find here.
