SHE’S BACK!

The Safety & Health Expo is set to return to London’s Excel on 21 – 23 June as part of UBM EMEA’s Protection & Management Series. In our show preview section we find out more about what visitors can expect from this year’s event.

Professionals from within, and outside, the health and safety industry are joining forces this summer to attend the UBM-run three day specialist Safety & Health Expo event created to help professionals remain compliant and stay up-to-date.

The ExCeL London will be teeming with key health and safety associations, manufacturers and distributors, together with industry leaders next month offering visitors the latest technologies and services to ensure the profession remains at the top of its game.

More than 13,000 visitors walked through the doors at Safety & Health Expo in 2015, and UBM hope to make 2016 an even bigger event. The show will see over 300 suppliers attending including Evac + Chair International, Cirrus Research Plc, Safety Media, ATC Risk Management Services Ltd, RRC International and Praxis42, amongst many others.

as well as implementing effective training solutions.

Safety & Health Expo provides an opportunity for those in the profession to trial and test eLearning services, personal protective equipment, fire protection solutions and lifting and handling aids showcased by the event’s exhibitors.

The latest innovations and product launches are also set to be unveiled from companies such as Arco Ltd, Draeger Safety UK Ltd, Skyguard Ltd, The Safety Knife Company, Ultimate Ear Protection.

After perusing the latest product innovations visitors can attend any of the 80 hours of CPD-accredited seminars complete with keynote addresses from Colonel Tim Collins OBE, Kate Adie OBE and James Cracknell OBE.

A programme of sector-specific case studies, best practice, training and legislative updates will take place in the six theatres at the Safety & Health Expo, including the Keynote Theatre, Occupational Health Theatre, Lone Worker Theatre, Fleet Safety Theatre, FPA Fire and Evacuation Theatre, and the Training and Careers Zone.

The FPA Fire and Evacuation Theatre will cover issues and likely scenarios faced by professionals responsible for fire safety and evacuation. Whilst the Training and Careers Zone will offer practical training for those looking to progress their career in health and safety. Both of these theatres are new additions to this year’s event.

PPE AND THE PROFESSIONAL

CLOTHING SHOW The addition of the Professional Clothing Show this year will create a comprehensive offering for PPE, workwear and corporate clothing within the UK, with leading companies from across the industry already confirmed to participate including Tranemo, Cintas, Dimensions, Portwest, Hunter Apparel, Sugdens and Keela International.

The Professional Clothing Show will sit at the heart of Safety & Health Expo alongside the popular SHE Live! Platform, a dedicated catwalk showcasing a range of new personal protective equipment, workwear and corporate clothing products as well as live demonstrations from key suppliers.
