Letter from Our Foundation Leadership

We hope you enjoy this annual report of the Grand Valley University Foundation.

We know that you receive many reports like this from a wide variety of organizations. Most of them share information with you about their progress for the year and highlight stories of their success. Ours does that too, but the real purpose of our annual report is found between the lines. It is a celebration of what we have built and an eager anticipation for what is coming next.

As we embark on the 50th year of the Grand Valley University Foundation, two things stand out.

First, as Grand Valley has grown, so has the foundation and the tremendous support in this community for our university. As the fundraising organization for Grand Valley, more than 100 directors and more than 15,000 donors are drawn to the vision of a college that transforms our culture and our economy. It is your commitment to this vision that is allowing Grand Valley to enhance the lives of so many. We are incredibly grateful to you.

Second, 50 years is just a blink in time. It has gone by so quickly. We know the best is yet to come for Grand Valley and for West Michigan. We can feel it in the energy of the students on the growing campuses and in the enthusiasm of alumni filling our businesses and non-profits. We can see it in the top-notch faculty members who generously offer their expertise not just to students, but to businesses and organizations throughout the region. There is so much more we can do.

By working together as a foundation, with continued imagination and vision, we can look forward to an incredible next 50 years for Grand Valley State University. Thank you for being a part of it.
