FAQs What financial support is available while on exchange?

If you participate in the Erasmus+ (European) programme, you receive a monthly grant of up to €500 to support you during your time abroad. If you get support from Student Finance England, you will still be eligible for the various loans. The amount may differ slightly, but remain roughly the same.

If you go on a full year Erasmus+ or International Exchange, your tuition fees to Middlesex University are reduced (approx. £1500 instead of £9000), and you pay nothing to the Host University.

Are there any language requirements for going on exchange?

Many of our Partner Universities teach in English (check their websites).

You could improve or learn a new language using the online language learning tool provided under the Erasmus+ programme.

Where will I live while on exchange?

Our Partner Universities normally include information on student accommodation on their websites. Or you may need/prefer to look for privately rented accommodation.
