Resignation The resignation of Cllr Hyndman was formally noted and the clerk confirmed that the necessary paperwork had been completed. KCC Drug and Alcohol Strategy Members agreed that good work had been done so far with the changes of structure. They noted that there were great advice and support services for those who need help. Members would also like to see parents being taught how to be good parents and to increase their children’s self-esteem and confidence. Members’ comments would be submied. Bench Cllr Manser proposed that a brown recycled plastic bench be purchased for the hardstanding area at the pavilion. The clerk would investigate the cost of delivery and also the price of a WorldWar One memorial seat for the parish field. Website The parish website was being upgraded and the clerk and chairman would be aending training. MunchkinsA meeting was held with Rachel Caell to discuss her hiring arrangements at the pavilion. Mucky Munchkins had grown from strength to strength and would now like to make the pavilion its permanent facility. Members agreed to a sign to be installed by the front gates and would like the wording to be “Barming Parish Pavilion home of the Mucky Munchkins”, as previously agreed. It was also agreed that the hire charge would increase by 40p per hour for 2018/19.
A PROPERTY in MapleAvenue, Allington, was broken into and two mobile phones, jewellery and other itemswere stolen. A man tried to break into a house in Eynsford Road, Allington, but was disturbed by the resident and left. Hewas described as white, about 5ft 6ins tall, with short gelled hair and glasses. A silver Giant bicyclewas taken from the
front of a café in MangravetAvenue. Some buckets and other itemswere
stolen from a building site in South Street, Barming. A shedwas broken into in Bower Mount
Road. A Renault Traficwas damaged in Plains
Avenue. Milk and foodwas stolen from the doorstep of a house in Perryfield Street.A group of youthswas seen acting suspiciously. A handbag with cash and a cardwas
taken from a home in MangravetAvenue. A garage was broken into in Somerfield
Road. Flowerswere picked from the garden of
a house in Alkham Road. Two female teenagers were seen in the garden. A garage was broken into in Hampshire
Drive and two youthswere seen driving off.
Cash and jewellerywere stolen after a break-in at a house in Midley Close, Allington.
Planning Cllr Gooch reported on the possibility of planning applications only being available online. This would be impractical for parish councils who have no wifi installed, and would be discussed further. Bonfire Cllr Gooch thanked Barry Plummer for the excellent job he had done in resolving a complaint regarding a bonfire at the allotments. Hydrants The fire hydrantrs around the parish would be cleaned and marked up correctly and a map would be sent to the clerk. Parish councils are then expected to keep an eye on the hydrants with a dedicated inspector, which Cllr Vizzard volunteered to do. Tubs The plant tubs were roing and one had collapsed. Cllr Manser would investigate replacements and prices.
Loose
Police report PCSO Doug Muir would be transferred from Loose, through changes to the PCSO areas in the borough.A new PCSO was expected to join in April. Various incidents, mainly at the King George V playing field, were discussed at length. The parish council is concerned about the use of catapults and air guns. PCSO Muir was investigating the possibility of a camera inWalnut Tree Avenue. The parish had wrien to the police, asking for a number of antisocial incidents to be regarded as serious maers.A reply was awaited. Community warden Theft from vehicles and shed burglaries had been reported. The warden was teaming up with the Coxheath community warden and PCSO to see if both parishes could work together on anti-social behaviour maers. Bins It was likely that the parish council would have to pay for the emptying of bins at the King George V playing field.
ParkingA resident had complained about inconsiderate parking in Hanson Drive during school runs. Gardens An anonymous leer had been sent from concerned residents of Hubbards Lane about two gardens which were in a terrible state with various rubbish. It was understood that this had been taken forward by Golding Homes. Street names The parish council had suggested Iron Age Close and Roy Hood Way to the borough council for two new developments at Hubbards Lane. Developers had already suggested two names – types of cherries, as the land was originally a cherry orchard. These were Penny Close and Summersun Court. Well Street Regarding the proposed development at Forstal Lane in Coxheath parish, a planning application had not yet been submied. Terry McKeown, of Loose Amenities Association, spoke about an option ofWell Street being blocked off to through traffic. It was reported that some members of the public would be happy to accept the inconvenience of driving the long way round, via Stocke Lane, and that this would alleviate gridlock in the village of Loose.A resident inWell Street was trying to gather a petition and this would passed to the group to take forward. The chairman said that all residents in Loose needed to be consulted. Brooks Field shed Loose Amenities Association had agreed to the shed removal and would be given six months from the expiration of the lease to remove their equipment. It was likely that planning permission would be needed for the group to locate a store in the valley and also for the council to demolish the shed. The hole in the fence with Tylers would be filled with a close-boarded fence panel.

in Tovil Road. Jewellerywas stolen from a supermarket
inWeek Street. A motorcycle parked in Wat Tyler Way
was stolen. A tree in Holmesdale Close was damaged. A vehicle parked on a driveway in Derby
Road had its tyres slashed. A Peugeot parked inWaterloo Street was broken into and a satnav and personal property were stolen. The rear window of a vehicle parked in
Upper Stone Streetwas smashed and a radio/cassee player was stolen. In Farleigh Lane, a motorbikewas taken without consent. A bike was removed from the stairwell of
a building in Roseholme. A postal box at a block of flats in The Broadwaywas damaged in an aempt to break it open but nothing appeared to have been taken. A VWPolowas damaged in a private car
park in George Street. An engine was removed from a garden in Melville Road but has been recovered. A Hyundai parked in the road in Thornhill Placewas keyed. Someone gained access to a property in John Street and stole items.
