LAUNCH OF NATIONAL TREE WEEK The official launch of National Tree Week takes place at the National Botanic Gardens with a programme of plantings, walks and activities for all ages and interests. National Tree Week is an initiative of the Tree Council. Free tree activities for families. Try the twig twinning challenge, do some bark rubbing and check out how old tree stumps are by counting the tree rings and learn fun ways of measuring how tall a tree is!
