Justin White, a seasoned property expert, has been appointed to the real estate team of leading regional law firm Coffin Mew as business development manager. He has more than three decades of property experience and a wealth of industry knowledge; and his appointment marks the start of Coffin Mew’s expansion in the south.


Portsmouth’s leading legal practice Verisona Law has announced two new appointments: Muhammed Poswall as associate in the commercial dispute team and David Hawkins as litigation executive in personal injury. Poswall originally graduated with an electronics engineering degree from the University of Southampton in 2005, but after a year working in property development and construction, he decided on a change of career. He qualified as a solicitor in 2014 after undertaking a training contract in commercial corporate law, intellectual property, patent issues, property and commercial litigation and dispute resolution. Personal injury specialist Hawkins has joined the firm’s dedicated team for claims of abuse. He has nearly 15 years’ experience in acting for claimants on personal injury cases in West Sussex, ranging from individual compensation to employers liability for over £250,000.


Lead generation agency Xcel Sales has appointed serial entrepreneur and business growth specialist Kevin Gaskell as its new chairman. Gaskell brings with him a hugely successful track record of leading some of the world’s most prestigious brands as well as helping growing companies to scale rapidly. Gaskell has previously led a number of iconic brands, including Porsche, Lamborghini and BMW.


A specialist at Blake Morgan’s Southampton office has been recognised as a global leader in her field in the 2017 edition of the prestigious worldwide law directory Who’s Who Legal. Commercial team partner Sheilah Mackie has been listed as a leader in telecommunications, media and technology in the guide. As specialist in franchising, she has also been listed in the ‘legal franchise’ category for the first time.


Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has appointed James Tetley as a tax partner based in its Southampton office. Tetley joins RSM having spent the past 10 years in the Southampton market place, advising owner- managed, private equity backed and larger listed businesses on a range of matters including efficient tax structuring of groups, international expansion and capital expenditure projects.

Emma Eaglestone has taken over as lead director for JLL’s Southampton office with Michael Green stepping down from the role after 22 years at the helm. Eaglestone is head of residential valuation across the south, a business line she has built since 2000. She joined JLL’s Southampton office 20 years ago as a graduate.
