Business
Do you have a business – large or small – or are you an employee? Here are some ideas from others who have had fun and raised money to help care for young people and their families. Stagecoach bus drivers in Oxford dressed up for a Superheroes Day and raised over £700. The Oxford Belfry dressed up as children’s characters to greet guests and asked them to pay to park in aid of us. They raised £2,000 last year and plan to raise funds this year too. DAF sold goodie bags at Truckfest and raised £1,000. Focus raised over £1,000 in our Riverside Stomp

and Berkeley Homes, Oxford and Chiltern offices, signed up and are fundraising for our Kilimanjaro Trek in September. Businesses have taken on our Retail Challenges and Furniture Fiestas at our warehouse in Aylesbury. Teams from Carillion did a retail challenge day at two of our shops and increased takings by £1,384! Thames Water has raised over £7,000 so far through Furniture Fiestas; up-cycling furniture at our warehouse to be sold in our shops.

Legacies
A Gift in your Will The equivalent of 1-in-5 of our patients are cared for by money bequeathed to the charity in Wills. People who choose to leave a gift have different reasons for doing so. Sometimes it’s in memory of a loved one,

or because they have supported us during their lifetime. Sometimes it’s because they wish to leave a footprint in the future. Whatever the reason, however much, this is a special way to leave a gift for our young patients and their families.
