FIONA DILSTON'S CASE STUDIES


Mrs T a lady of twenty-eight came to see me with a view to sorting out her erratic and sometimes absent menstrual cycle. She had one three-year old daughter and had miscarried almost a year ago she told me in our initial brief telephone conversation. She was quite busy being employed part time as a care worker and offering respite care to families at weekends. Our conversation resulted in my initial prescription of the Findhorn Femininity combination essence to help to balance and re-establish her cycle along with a homeopathic remedy with the view to clearing the residue from the hormonal contraception she had used previously.


At her next appointment she told me that her cycle had re-established and that she had had two periods and that she was sad not to have conceived. She continued that she was still upset about the miscarriage and also told me that her grandmother had died soon after her daughter's birth and that she felt the loss of both the baby and her beloved Nanna acutely. Tears welled in her eyes as she talked. On the basis of this I gave her some Ignatia (a major Homeopathic grief remedy) to take straight away and a bottle of Snowdrop essence that I suggested she could take should she feel sad about her losses.


I saw her again a month later and she was not so weepy but sad to still not have conceived. I reassured her that it was indeed early days and that things may need a little longer. She told me that she still felt sad and missed her Nanna and the baby she had lost. I prescribed her another Homeopathic grief remedy and said to continue with the Snowdrop essence too when she felt the need. I did not hear from her for a few weeks which was unusual as she would usually drop me an email or respond to a thread on an online forum we both used. I wondered if she was ok, as she had said she would let me know about the next appointment not making a firm one. Then one Saturday afternoon I received an SMS from her telling me that she had done a pregnancy test and it was positive. Her second daughter was born at home with Homeopathic remedies and essences some nine months later. She has since had another daughter that she "blames me for" as she was taking remedies for something else going on in her life at the time!
