Summer Bliss - By Gilda Westermann
We have just turned over another page on the calendar: welcome to June, summer has arrived! Here in the North of Scotland it has arrived with a bang and to keep up with nature’s unfolding you got to be really fast. This is a great time for all of us to take a moment of close attention as we are out and about in nature. No matter whether you are in the big city or the countryside, it’s a great time to connect to the nature’s kingdom and specifically to the flowers, which have arrived in abundance.
Let me take you to visit three of my nature friends: Daisy, Rowan and Gorse. They are powerful healers and all three of them beautiful in their individual ways. The Daisy, so common and easy to find, is a powerful flower remedy. Supporting the qualities of calmness, centredness and protection this plant is a great healer and contributes these qualities to our combinations First Aid and Psychic Protection.
The Rowan trees are in full blossom now. In appearance a bit similar to Elder its main attribute is forgiveness towards yourself and others. I am inviting you to spend time with the Rowan tree, with the beautiful blossoms connecting to and evoking forgiveness and reconciliation, which our world so needs. Our last friend to visit is the Gorse; just went to see him in acres of yellow light. Walking out of Cullerne Gardens through the back gate that’s what you see: an acre of bright yellow gorse bushes. Each plant radiates light, life force and joy – breath it in deeply.
When you look at these plants now evoking and breathing in their qualities let the clocks stop and open to nature’s magic! Enjoy your walks and meetings with Daisy, Rowan and Gorse. Wishing you all a blissful June!
