Smith & Williamson signals new era of strategic growth

in the office in 2011. The Assurance team has recently recruited Rachel Hardy as a new audit director and Mark Munro as a senior manager as part of the office expansion. The team is experiencing growth following a number of client wins. In addition to statutory audit work the team have completed a number of financial due diligence projects.


Smith & Williamson, the accountancy, investment management and tax group, has relocated its South Coast team to larger offices in Southampton’s Cumberland Place, as the firm hires additional staff and advises an increasing number of ambitious, growing mid-market businesses in the region.


Andrew Edmonds is heading up the new office. Andrew joined the firm as a graduate trainee from Southampton University in 1994 and was promoted to head of assurance and business services


The Corporate Finance team, led by Amanda Phillips, also continues to deliver high quality advice in the M & A sphere. Brexit is likely to create opportunities both for overseas purchases and UK business owners looking to exit.


The tax team, led by Rebecca Combes, already has a reputation for providing solutions to challenges on tax issues. The team has helped many owner- managers through succession planning by focussing on the big picture to help

The office has a strong Restructuring & Recovery team led by Greg Palfrey.
