Orion Homes Win Another LABC Award at Kingsway Gardens TOrion Homes' Kingsway development in Ossett has won official recognition for outstanding quality in construction and workmanship at the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards 2016.
Site manager John Butterwood oversaw the completion of a range of one and two bedroom apartments which received a Highly Commended Award in the New Dwellings Large Development Category. It is the second LABC award-winning development which John has overseen, following on from Spring Place Park near Mirfield in 2013. He is now putting his skills and expertise to good use at Benton Park in Horbury, where Orion Homes are building a range of spacious three and four bedroom detached homes.
John said: “The LABC's Building Excellence Awards are judged on excellence shown from a construction and technical building control point of view. Each year the LABC puts forward around a thousand projects for local, regional and national awards, so to it is very gratifying for our site team to receive recognition as one of a very select number of all those submissions to be Highly Commended.”
Orion Homes director Andrew Lumb said: “This is Orion Homes' fourth LABC Award in total. We have also been Highly Commended for
detached homes at Prince Henry's Court in Otley and mews homes at The Grove in Roundhay. Each award is something which the company is very proud to achieve - they reflect our commitment to outstanding quality in construction and workmanship.”
