Finding The Balance Through Healing
ocal nonprofit Sustainable Energy Education Development Support (SEEDS) is partnering with The Waverly Community House to present a free two-night workshop from 7 to 9 p.m., August 24 and 25, at The Waverly Community House on saving energy and money at home, how to evalu-
ate a site for a solar installation and how take the next steps. SEEDS will provide information on commonly available rebates and incentives for solar installations, certified solar installers in our area and options for do-it-yourselfers. A team of SEEDS presenters, including a certified build- ing performance professional, will discuss how to reduce the building’s energy load before installing a solar system. Topics include the different types of solar systems, how the technolo- gies work, how much systems cost, how to calculate financial payback and installation techniques and concerns. SEEDS pre- senters for this session include a nationally certified installer for both solar hot water and photovoltaic (electric) systems that will show samples of solar equipment and tools.

Metabolic Workshop at Thrive Wellness

hrive Wellness will conduct a work- shop, An Introduction to the Metabolic Reboot, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., August 29, to discuss how unhealthy food choices and cutting calories can negatively affect insulin and hormone levels, causing weight gain.
