Ecobuild: What does sustainability mean?

Responses and ques- tions submitted via the hashtag #SustainabilityIs will contribute to an industry-wide roundtable dis- cussion on 22 June that will be chaired by Chief Executive of the UK-GBC, Julie Hirigoyen. The roundtable panel will comprise of high


profile figures from housing organisations, local government, manufacturing and built environ- ment sectors, including the Construction Products Association, BRE, Marks & Spencer,


and Institution of Civil Engineers. Key outcomes of the debate will be shared at an event at the House of Commons later this month and pub- lished by Ecobuild. The outcomes of the #SustainabilityIs


campaign - including the roundtable - will come to life at Ecobuild 2017 (7-9 March, ExCel Lon- don) and be used to shape the conference programme, content and experience of the event. An industry manifesto for sustainability will be published following the show.
