PRINT ADVERTISING WORKS COTTINGHAM SHOW HOME OPENING RESULTS IN SALES SUCCESS FOR BELLWAY
After spending four months working out of a sales office on a separate development ten- miles away, the sales team from Bellway's Merchant's Gate development finally opened the doors to their Cottingham show homes on March 12th - and have been greeted by a host of extremely eager buyers.
Since the show homes opened the sales team has confirmed two new sales, taken a number of Part Exchange applications, had people signing up to the company's Express Mover package while others have opted to put their homes on the market in order to let them buy their Bellway home.
On top of all that, the Government's Help to Buy scheme has generated a lot of interest amongst the majority of first time buyers visiting Merchant's Gate.
• Show home sales success Bellway sales advisor, Paula
Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire's sales manager, said: “Even when the sales
team was operating out of our Centurion Fields development in Elloughton, Merchant's Gate was proving to be extremely popular and now that we're on- site and have the show homes open that interest has gone through the roof.”
Located on Cottingham's Castle Road, Merchant's Gate comprises 151 three and four bedroom, traditional two-storey detached and semi-detached homes, and the newly opened show and view homes deliver a great taste of what's on offer.
The four bedroom detached Hambleton show home is a stunning family home benefiting from a contemporary, open- plan design to the kitchen, dining and family area, Separate living room and Study and a generous master suite on the first floor, and is available from £309,995 with part exchange.
Meanwhile, the three-bedroom semi-detached Beswick and
Shipley view homes both provide ideal family accommodation. The Beswick boasts spacious, ground floor living accommodation including a generous living room leading onto an open-plan kitchen and dining room, and the Shipley features a generous master bedroom with modern en suite and a spacious, dual-aspect ground floor interior.
“Merchant's Gate is a terrific development with a great mix of houses, and because of the variety of buyer options we have available, it's fair to say that it really does have something for everyone,” continued Melanie.

Saxon Gardens set to soar after opening the doors to its beautiful show homes
Redrow has opened the doors to its Saxon Gardens show homes in the stunning North Yorkshire village of Sherburn in Elmet.
Redrow has opened the doors to its Saxon Gardens show homes in the stunning North Yorkshire village of Sherburn in Elmet.
The award-winning homebuilder has unveiled three fabulously furnished show homes at the already-popular development and sales consultant Helen Willis reckons sight of these will really make sales take off.
“The show homes are absolutely gorgeous,” she said. “There is already a lot of interest in Saxon Gardens but, with the show homes now open to view, we expect an even greater response.”
There has been much excitement since Saxon Gardens launched just a few months ago and demand is already keen. There have already been 19 reservations off-plan (plus two 'early bird' registrations for properties not yet on release) at the development, which will see the creation of around 300 three and four- bedroom homes.
“And there is a real mix of buyers,” added Helen. “There are people of all ages and downsizers as well as families. They see that here you have a lovely village with all you would want shops, a butcher's, baker's, doctor's; everything is here but with fantastic links too.”
All the homes are from the Heritage Collection. Inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement, they combine traditional exteriors with stylish and contemporary interiors, designed with families and modern living in mind.
The three show homes demonstrate just how well designed and crafted these properties are with a three- bedroomWarwick house style, and two four-bedroom houses, the Oxford and theWelwyn, available for viewing.
With these and more superb styles to choose from it isn't difficult to see why interest in the development is high, but combine that with its situation and it becomes clear why Saxon Gardens will blossom.
Current prices are from £223,950 for a three-bedroom Letchworth semi to £304,950 for the four-bedroom detached Cambridge.
Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), said: “Saxon Gardens offers the best of both worlds, with the peace and quiet of village life combined with excellent commuter links to nearby towns and cities, including Selby, Leeds and York.
“What's more, Sherburn is no ordinary village, with a superb sense of community and a highly popular aero club with its own airfield.
“We have already seen a high level of interest in the development and now purchasers have the chance to view the show homes and see for themselves the high quality of homes we are building in this beautiful setting, we believe that will increase enormously.”
Redrow is offering a range of incentives at the development including Help to Buy, the Government-backed scheme which allows buyers to buy a new home with as little as 5% deposit. The initial cost is reduced by a 20% equity loan which is interest free for five years, making the homes even easier to afford.
Would-be purchasers are encouraged to see the show homes as soon as possible and get their pick of the properties.
The show homes and sales centre are open daily between 10am-5.30pm. For more details call 01977 235452 or visit
