Practical solution for Park Chinois T

he Park Chinois is an ambitious restaurant located on Berkeley street, London W1. The May Fair property,

surrounding that has a retro feel, reminiscent to that of the 1940s/1950s Shanghai, the Park Chinois delivers an all round dining experience. Alan Yao, who originally opened the

Wagamama chain in 1992 and has since added Hakkasan, Busaba Ethai, Yauatcha and Sake No Hana to his list of stylish restaurants, launched the new 15,200 sq. ft Park Chinois, which seats 300 people, in November 2015. Having provided Alan Yao’s restaurants with

products for more than a decade, stainless steel specialists Component Developments were specified to supply stainless steel drainage channels and gullies throughout both the ground floor and basement kitchen areas of the Park Chinois.

stainless steel channel drains and gullies were fitted, each one topped with an anti-slip grating. The channel widths ranged in size from 395mm to 995mm (specifically sized to match the modules), with lengths up to 5.75 metres. On the basement floor a further 2 channel

drains and 15 large gully pots where fitted. All gully bodies installed were standard designs, supplied by Component Developments to various

projects throughout London on a regular basis. All included removable stainless steel odour traps and waste baskets placed inside, allowing for easy cleaning and maintenance. Working closely for over a year with the kitchen

design team and on-site contractors, Component Developments were able to help overcome any on-site problems. This included communication between the different trades and designing the channel system to tie together the plumbing and floor tile layout within the structure of the building. Offering both a practical and visually pleasing solution, whilst sticking tightly to the requirements of the kitchen design. Component Developments will be launching a

brand new website in February 2016 which will highlight a range of stainless steel drainage, access and surface protection products.
