Here are a few tips provided by our friendly and highly trained team at relate, that will help when baby comes home:
• Work with and support your partner by taking turns with the baby
• Don’t keep thoughts and feeling to yourself. Talk to your partner, and other parents - many of them are experiencing the same mixture of conflicting feelings
• Take time to invest in your relationship and we do not mean by just cash alone!
• Be kind to each other, knowing that lack of sleep causes lowered tolerance and frayed tempers
Sleeping separately can help to keep at least one of you from falling apart, but don’t do it for too long. Sharing a bed is an important part of being a couple. Please remember that we at relate help thousands of people build better relationships each year.

Peterborough Women’s Aid aims to relieve the distress and trauma experienced by women and their children, if any, who have been affected by their domestic abuse situation.
We recognise that women and children have a right to live their lives free from fear of domestic violence and abuse, and society has a duty to recognise and defend this right.
