• We are using 2 slices of ham and we want to share them equally between the 4 muffins pieces. How much will there be on each muffin? [explain that we have to cut the ham in half to be able to share it]

• The recipe says we need 10ml of tomato sauce. How shall we measure it? [You may have a 10ml measuring spoon. If not, show the children a teaspoon and tell them this holds 5ml.] How many teaspoons will we need per muffin? [2] How many altogether for 4 muffins? [8]

• What is basil? [a herb]

• Where does mozzarella cheese originally come from? [Italy; the children may like to know that some mozzarella cheese is made from buffalo milk]
