Snowshoe Day Hike


Saturday, 21 March 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. $25


Experience the fun of snowshoeing at a level more suited to the novice hiker! There is still plenty of great Hakkoda foothills winter scenery and deep snow to see! The minimum age to participate is 7. The total hike distance is 2.5 kilometers. Sign up no later than Thursday, 19 March at 4 p.m.

See the beauty of the Hakkoda Mountains with this snowshoe hike through the frozen trees the Japanese refer to as snow monsters. This hike includes transportation, guide, snowshoe equipment, and a round trip Hakkoda Ropeway ticket. The minimum age for this tour is 18. Sign up no later than Thursday, 12 March at 4 p.m.

Family Fun Night


at the Himberg Pool Every Friday | 6 - 8 p.m.


Enjoy an evening of fun with the whole family at the Himberg Pool. This is the time to bring the Super Soakers, water pistols, Nerf balls, and small in atables to the pool and cut loose!


Hakkoda Ski & Snowboard Tour 7 & 28 March | 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. | $125


This trip is only open to intermediate or higher skill level skiers or snowboarders, ages 18 and up. This is not a tour for  rst- timers or novices. Each tour is limited to six people and guided by a professional English speaking Japanese mountain guide who’ll show you how to run the direct and forest courses safely. The tour also includes transportation, a Hakkoda Ropeway  ve run ticket, and safety equipment (backcountry pack, avalanche transceiver, and snowshoes). Ski or snowboarding equipment is also available at no cost if needed and as available.

Shimokura Resort 14 March | 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Adults, $75


Ages 7 - 15, $65 Ages 0 - 6, $30 ride along


Enjoy two resorts side by side for the price of one! A shuttle bus will drive you to both resorts! Hachimantai is a great place for novices, and Shimokura is great for more experienced skiers.


Naqua Shirakami 14 & 21 March 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Adults, $75


Ages 7 - 12, $65 Ages 0 - 7, $30 ride along

All Outdoor Recreation ski & snowboarding trips opened for enrollment now at the Outdoor Recreation Center, Hangar 973 unless otherwise noted. No limits apply to the number of seats purchased, but payment in full is required at the time of enrollment. Certain cancellation policies and fees apply.


Custom tours in March are available through 20 March due to uncertain snow conditions. All tours must be reserved no later than 1 March.

COST Trip costs are based on destination and number of participants.
