Day Two of the conference included the Employ Hampton Roads Career and Business Opportunity Fair which featured organizations such as GEICO, ADT,

Hampton Roads First Command Financial Transit, Services,

guest Virginia Beach Public Schools and up

more. "While we were happy to host all of the companies who participated in the career fair, many of them had enough jobs to stand alone at a fair. We really could have had a successful career fair with just Virginia Beach Public Schools. As the second largest employer in Hampton Roads, not including

the federal government,

Virginia Beach Public Schools has numerous job openings from bus driver to principal to computer programmer," said Angela Jones, publisher of the Hampton Roads Messenger, which organized the two-day event.

Jones added, "We are pleased that we were able to match so many job seekers with employers who are looking for their skill sets. Because of the support of our sponsors, Bryant & Stratton College and S.B. Ballard Construction,

the entire economy

of Hampton Roads will receive a boost from this two-day event." Employers were also able to attend an Employability Summit hosted by Bryant & Stratton College during the conference. Conference attendees are already talking about wanting to come back to the conference when it is held again next year.
