WELCOME TO KENT ANDMEDWAY’S SCHOOL SPORTS MAGAZINE Foreword

Welcome to the first edition of the Kent and Medway sports magazine ‘Pulse’, the new publication for primary school sport throughout the County. Our aim of producing this magazine is to showcase some of the great sporting activities going on within the County’s schools, provide information about upcoming events and gather information we deem relevant to schools.

We would also like to hear from you regarding any budding journalists, photographers or young reporters you may teach who would like to share their school sporting experiences and we will aim to print the best ones.

We do hope you enjoy reading ‘Pulse’.

The Primary School Sports Funding Kent School Games

The Kent Sport and Physical Activity team (Kent Sport) delivers and develops a range of sport and physical activity opportunities for everyone to be more active, more often and supporting those that wish to progress. Our aim is to boost participation in sport and physical activity, in order to improve the health and well-being of Kent’s residents.

What do we do?

Many of you would have competed in the Kent School Games over the last few years or at least know of them. We are responsible for organising the games and work closely with the School Games Organisers (SGO’s) to try and give you the best sporting experience possible. We also offer funding streams, provide links to national governing bodies and support elite athletes throughout the County as well as a host of other strategic activities.
