• Whiteley-based Peach Telecom has acquired IT support company Nexus Business Group, and will now add to its offering a wealth of managed IT services and solutions. The acquisition sees Nexus managing director Gareth McQuaid join the board and become IT director at Peach. He said: “Our customers are pleased with the move as they will be able to take advantage of Peach’s end- to-end portfolio.“ McQuaid’s designation signifies Peach’s second key appointment within six months, further strengthening the board and expediting Peach’s expansion into the mid-market, where it is currently realising a strong demand ahead of expectations.
• Abi Fletcher (right) and Tarra Hills (left) have joined law firm Moore Blatch’s clinical negligence team in Southampton as qualified solicitors, and Mea Gleisner (centre), now qualified, will support Paula Barnes as head of community care. After attaining a first-class law degree, Fletcher gained approximately six years’ experience conducting a wide range of clinical claims, with particular expertise in upper-limb orthopaedic injuries, surgical errors, delays in diagnosis and dental claims. Hills has been with Moore Blatch since 2011 and has been promoted internally within the firm. As well as her clinical negligence experience, she has gained experience in personal injury and industrial disease cases. Gleisner, who originally joined Moore Blatch in 2009, is now a fully-qualified solicitor and is specialising in community care.
• Trimline, Southampton-based marine interior refurbishment specialist, has appointed Andrew Richards as its new chief executive officer. Currently key account director at Survitec Group, Richards’ new role will will see him strategically lead the company through the biggest development phase in its history, as it prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2015. Trimline has undergone its largest expansion in recent years with 12 new vacancies created within the past year alone and the number of employees reaching 100. Turnover has now exceeded £20 million.
• Goadsby Commercial has appointed Guy Peirson- Hagger as planning manager at its Southampton office. Peirson-Hagger, who has considerable experience in all aspects of town planning and can offer advice on a range of development projects, will cover the east of the region including Hampshire, East Sussex and Surrey. Peter Atfield, planning director who heads up the team, will continue to cover the western region.
• SGPB Hambros, the UK wealth management arm of Societe Generale Private Banking, has appointed Daniel Way (left) and Jeremy Hill (right) as senior private bankers to its southern office, working with team head Rebecca Constable, director private banking. Amanda Alexander (centre) has also recently joined as a senior wealth planner. She is a chartered financial planner and a fellow of the Personal Finance Society. Having worked with both business owners and entrepreneurs, Alexander brings over 20 years’ financial planning experience to the team. Constable said: “We are delighted to welcome the new joiners. The team is now well formed to build on relationships established in the southern region, working closely with colleagues from the Lymington Office’.
• Sport-lover Roger Hann has retired after 13 years at HWB Chartered Accountants in Chandlers Ford. Hann has been a friendly face at the firm since taking the role of practice manager in 2001. He is a keen sports fan, qualified cricket umpire and regular visitor to The Ageas Bowl, and as a parting gift was presented with a lifetime’s membership of Hampshire Cricket Club. He has spent his entire working life in accountancy.

• Alex Cruz Farmer has been appointed technical director of colocation, connectivity, cloud and comms specialist group C4L, bringing his extensive experience in the IT infrastructure industry. Cruz Farmer is an ISPA judge, Linx programme committee member and a business-owning entrepreneur. With over a decade of senior experience in wholesale and service provider diligences, he will now direct technical decisions over all C4L Group companies.
• Chad Christian, wine expert and sommelier from The Hotel Du Vin (HDV) Poole, has been recruited to the team of Poole-based Templar Wines, a specialist wine importer and merchant. Educated in South Africa, Christian is a graduate in Travel and Tourism from The University of Cape Town, and qualified further at WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) in London. He is regional finalist in the Moet Chandon Sommelier of the year competition and he has worked and learned from many of the top sommeliers and bar managers since working for The HDV Group.
