Launch of a new security annual fund raising event
The inaugural UK Joint Security Associations’ annual fundraising event will be held in London on Tuesday 30th September. It is hoped the event will raise in excess of £40,000, which will be divided between St Giles Trust and PTSD Resolution.
Providing skills and employment support for ex-offenders, St Giles Trust has already helped over 16,000 clients across the country. Working in prisons and the community, they aim to enable people to live independent lives, with advice and support around housing, employment and relationships.
PTSD Resolution provides counselling services for the UK Armed Forces, TA and Regular Reserves, and their dependents, to relieve mental health problems. The PTSD Resolution Outreach programme has over 200 counsellors trained in trauma focussed-cognitive behaviour therapy and provides a contact point for anyone requiring counselling.
The ticket price of £100 includes three-course dinner and one entry to the £20 ticket prize raffle, with guest speaker Lord Carlile of Berriew CBE, QC.
The joint security associations responsible for organising this event include the City of London Crime Prevention Association, The Security Institute, ASIS International, IPSA and ADS Group Ltd.
