A 19th century gilt metal and pietra dura jewellery casket, the hinged cover set with an oval pietra dura panel depicting a spray of flowers, opening to a satin lined interior, the sides set with two oval pietra dura panels depicting sprays of fruit and flowers divided by two circular pietra dura panels depicting the head of a horse and a dog, raised on a pierced and scroll plinth base with bun feet, stamped ‘MORFAU’ on the base, 22.5cm wide x 10.5cm high x 16cm deep. £200-300

A 19th century Scottish needlework sampler by Rachel Samson, Ochiltree, 1829, worked in coloured threads with a twin handled urn issuing flowers and foliage surmounted by a crown, flowering trees, birds, hearts, initials, verse and peacocks all within a meandering foliate border, set within a mahogany and boxwood lined frame, overall 59 x 48.5cm. £150-250
