his market was established a year ago and has since become the hub of the community offering varied products from a food market on Tuesday and Saturday to Pop-Up stalls on Friday and Craft/ Vintage on the second Sunday of the month.
Home Farm Butchers feature locally reared meat and all their pork is free range. Portbridge Farm offers locally grown vegetables from their farm in Chew Magna and Seafoods from Burnham-on-Sea have the best selection of fresh sustainably caught sh, including shellsh. They are all there twice a week on Tuesday and Saturday. Stephanie has started her own Floral Design
business at the market and takes orders for weddings and all special occasions as does Kerris from Cup Cakes a la Carte (runner up in the UK cup cake competition!) Cheese from Somerset Deli, breads from Winnies of Weston-super-Mare, sumptuous gluten free goodies from Butteries and incredible chocolate brownies from Serious Treats. Jacklands Trout Farm offers freshly caught trout and home made trout products, pates, quiche etc. New ventures also now include the well known Neal’s Yard products. All this under one roof and while you are shopping and browsing you can relax with a cup of coffee at the market café, they also offer light meals, paninis,
wraps, baked goods, wine, beer and cider.
Visit them on Pop-Up Fridays open to small entrepreneurs and crafts people, Aloe Vera products are always there and so is Stephanie with her gorgeous owers.
All in all The Food Market @ Seeleys is a wonderful experience not to be missed, they also have Hog Roasts so watch out for those dates too!
