Student’s Veteran Association Hosts 2nd Annual Car Show to

Benefit Vetshouse Inc. Virginia Beach, VA – The Student Veterans Association of Bryant & Stratton College-Virginia Beach campus will host the 2nd Annual Veterans Benefit Car Show & Poker Run Saturday, June 14, from 8 am to 5 pm. Free and open to the general public, and car & truck enthusiasts, the event will be held at the College’s 301 Centre Pointe Drive location (near the intersection of Independence Blvd. & Baxter Road).

All proceeds from this special benefit will go to support Vetshouse, Inc., located in Virginia Beach, raising money to help homeless veterans get back on their feet. “Bryant & Stratton College prides itself on being military friendly and veteran helpful,” said Lee Hicklin, Director of Military Relations, “so once our Student Veterans Association decided to help raise funds for Vetshouse, Inc., both of our Hampton Roads campuses were committed to the cause.”

The Poker Run will start at 8am from Biker’s Depot located at 612 Nevan Road, Virginia Beach, VA. There will be 5 stops along the poker run and the final point will be the show. At each stop the participant will receive a playing card and when they reach the show they will have a full poker hand. There will be prizes for best poker hand, worst poker hand, etc. Participants can buy additional poker hands at the show for $10 each. All of the stops along the poker run are military related and all are located within the Virginia Beach city limits. Fun for the whole family, there will be kids’ games, food vendors, door prizes and raffles will also take place.

“You can enter your car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, golf cart, and any other special interest in the show,” said DuBois, “You can pre-register for $15 or register the day of the event at 8 am with a $20 entry fee”. Judging will start at 1 pm with an awards ceremony at 4p. Top trophies will be given for the Top 50 vehicles, Dean's Choice trophy, Veteran's Choice trophy, People's Choice, and about 10 other specialty trophies.
