Welcome to the 25th CELEBRATING 25 YEARS IN PRINT
RV and camping enthusiasts have relied on the BC Super Camping Guide since 1989 to provide them with detailed camping information on British Columbia when planning their vacation.
“When we launched this little guide book, 25 years ago, we just wanted to give the public a British Columbia-only campground guide. Te other guides were too big as most of their content was roofed accommodation as well others included campgrounds beyond the BC borders. Tis compact format is still popular today and I look forward to the next 25 years of helping the public find the professional hosts we enjoy in BC campgrounds and RV parks.” stated John Allen, 1989 President, BC Motels, Campgrounds Resorts Association (now BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association).
To say thank you to those campground operators that have provided a consistent high level of service to you and your fellow campers over the last 25 years, we are including a “25th Anniversary Logo” in the listings of all RV parks/campgrounds that appeared in the first edition and still proudly operate today!
Marnie Henne, 2014 President, BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association added “Thank you to all the thousands of people who have supported the campgrounds listing in Super Camping over the past 25 years. I encourage you to visit the campgrounds and other businesses listed in the 25th Super Camping Guide and I know you will create happy camping memories on your travels throughout British Columbia. Also, why not check out the “It’s my camping story and I’m sticking to it” contest to share your memorable camping stories and pictures by participating in the Camping and RVing BC Coalition Blog, for contest details visit
www.campingrvbc.com/contest.” See page 21 for contest advertisement.
In 2012 BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association announced the expansion of the popular Super Camping guide to include lodging businesses and the guide is marketed with the tag “
Travel-British-Columbia.com - Print Companion” a reference to the popular website that attracts over 300,000 visitors annually. Attraction listings were added in 2013 as users responded to a survey looking for things to do and see.
Also, in 2012 inspired by the explosion of mobile smart phone ownership we began offering a mobile site
m.travel-british-columbia.com. With a user friendly mobile interface campers have online information on places to stay close at hand, as well as the print guide for reference, while on the road.
Happy Camping! Marnie Henne
