IP-Based vs. Conventional Panel-Based

100% IP access control solutions offer many advantages vs. conventional panel-based solutions…

Panel-Based Solutions

- Requires higher cabling costs (minimum of 12 cables) to support doors, hardware, data connections, power, etc.

- Control panels support limited doors – after lim it is reached, additional panels are required

- No hardware failover protection – when a panel goes down, all doors connected to the panel are affected

- System relies on battery packup for power failure – no monitoring or alerts for low battery

infinias IP Solutions

- Controller installs at the door – reducing number and length of cables to connect to and power all door accessories

- Highly scalable – sim ply install a new door controller and connect to the nearest network switch

- Hardware failover protection – a controller failure only affects a single door

- Back-up power provided by UPS at the PoE switch – leverages system heath monitoring and alerts
