In 2014, parents will have the


opportunity to visit projects that can directly affect their children’s lives. Tis year will debut EdSpark, an initiative of the Schultz Center, which will curate a One Spark venue where Creators with education-related projects will gather.


Discovery House, an enrichment


center for children, focuses on providing families the opportunity to enjoy playing in a fun, creative, safe and judgment-free environment. Patti Moody and her daughter, Amanda, launched Discovery House right before One Spark last year.


“We decided we would do this business and then came One Spark, so we


said ‘Maybe we should do this,’” says Patti. Te mother-daughter team signed up to showcase their business one day before the deadline. Patti believes One Spark came at just the right time. “We decided to do it for the exposure when we opened and we got so much more than that.”


Tis year, Patti and Amanda will


showcase their newest adventure—a preschool modeled after Discovery House’s innovative teaching methods. “We want to grow with the community and we know they need a preschool program that is different,” says Amanda. One Spark offers Patti and Amanda a platform to not only present their ideas to the community,


but also to interact with parents on the First Coast and find out what they need.


One Spark promises to “inspire


attendees with speakers, wow them with entertainment (including music and fire- breathing) and cater to children with kid- centric programming.”


Whether you attend One Spark for the
