symptoms and suffering are ‘good’ and a sign the cleanse is working, I’m here to tell you they are not good. Severe detox symptoms are a sign that whatever detoxification method you’re using is releasing the stored toxins into your bloodstream faster than you can release them from your body. This is bad news; after the toxins re-circulate in your blood, your body will re-absorb them into the tissues, rendering the whole detoxification effort useless.


Remember: it’s not true detoxification until the waste leaves the body.


HOW TO RELEASE THE WASTE You can go 100% raw and drink kale juice until next Christmas, but if your bowel isn’t keeping up with your daily intake and the toxins trying to leave the building, you’re eventually going to become ‘backed-up’ with waste. Coupled with the core temperature of your body, you can imagine how this accumulated waste can literally bake into your cells and tissues. Now consider years, even decades, of consuming and under- eliminating and you start to get the bigger


picture. We need to call in the waste- removal specialists!


1. Colonic hydrotherapy A properly administered colonic by a trained professional is gentle, safe, and one of the most effective methods for cleansing the colon, your primary eliminative organ. If you’re not prepared to do colonics or enemas, be sure not to over-cleanse. This means you probably don’t want to turn into a 100% raw foodist overnight, or jump headfirst into a 30-day juice fast. Raw fruits, vegetables and their juices


are the most powerful internal soap you can use to scrub out your insides; if you’ve got a lot of toxic build-up, they will likely awaken more waste than your body is able to release on its own, leaving you constipated and cranky. circulation, increased lymphatic flow, and deep oxygenation of your cells. Enjoy a family hike to breathe in fresh air and be with your loved ones at the same time.


3. Dry skin brushing Along with supporting circulation and stimulating your immune system, dry skin brushing helps clear your pores of dead skin cells and enables your body to push out more waste through your skin as you sweat – great for cellulite!
