VAL BIRD

THE Val with husband David

cruise – the weather was perfect and the company even better. “But that said the committee meetings are often great fun and have been social events in themselves!” Now Val believes the time is right to take a step back and let someone else join in the fun. I ask her what abiding memories she will take with her. “The main memory is of the friendships we’ve gained and the fantastic people we (got to) spent time with,” she said. “The fantastic food and great fun we’ve had have also been a bonus! Dartmouth is the perfect foodie destination and it makes being part of the Food Festival an absolute joy. i’d recommend it to anyone!”•
