Passivent’s new, intelligent approach to efficient continuous ventilation is proven to deliver ‘Best Practice’ for energy saving. The company’s iMEV (intelligent mechanical extract ventilation) uses the established concept of continuous mechanical extraction, but takes it into the 21st


century


through the employment of the latest technology. A combination of humidity sensitive extracts and choice of control levels ensures that in domestic dwellings, apartment blocks or multi-occupancy commercial buildings (hotels, care homes, student accommodation), the system con- stantly delivers appropriate, adequate ventilation without detriment and with no excessive energy usage nor occupier input. Furthermore, regardless of operation rate, the system delivers best practice requirements as laid down by the Energy Saving Trust. Passivent iMEV delivers a ‘whole house’ approach, with ventilation remaining constant until relative humidity (RH) increases, when it automatically boosts airflow by up to 88 per cent.
