This means that although each pie ce is cre a t ed with met iculous care and at t ention, they re tain a s trong sense of immedi a cy and spont aneit y. He then beg ins the pains taking proce ss of paint ing gloss paints into each indiv idual shape that he has made. Once the whole pie c e is coloured he draws all the lines back on top with bl ack paint. This time consuming proce s s takes an av e r age of 100 hours work for each piece.


“My crea tive proce ss must begin with definite inspiration. If I don’t get exc ited about a subject then it probably won’t work . I wi ll have an idea of how I want it to look and in order to achieve that I’ ll use pre t t y much any medium I can, from paint brushe s and penc i ls to a drawing tablet and a dig it a l pa le t te. I don’t rea lly consider any medium out of bounds as long as it he lps me crea te the image I have in my head.”
