ISSUE 45 – AUTUMN 2012 CITY®

City Security – The magazine that promotes security issues nationwide

After the eyes of the world were on London this summer, City Security magazine now focuses on global security

T

he London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games have closed and proved a huge and memorable success. Congratulations to all concerned in the

planning and preparation for London 2012, which produced not only one of the greatest Olympics ever but perhaps, as important, safe and incident free events.

The security legacy of the games and other key security issues are addressed in an exclusive interview with Head of Security at the Bank of England, Don Randall, MBE.

With a global focus this issue, our cover celebrates the diversity of the people working in security. Following this theme we examine undertaking business in other countries, the implications of US police privatisation and Jeff Little from NSI takes a look at the future international security paradigm. We have an international security compensation survey from SSR Personnel and we look how lives are changed by terrorist attacks.

We also cover the grim reality of Kidnapping, a personal view on Close Protection, the impact of the recession on Control Rooms and an interesting insight into the life of security dogs. We also have contributions from the SIA and Nick Pickles of Big Brother Watch.

In October, we are media partners at the Global Security Summit at London’s Olympia where our magazine will be available to the thousands of security professionals attending!

As we plan for the winter edition, we are always interested in your views on the magazine and any ideas you have for articles. There are some advertising spaces still available, so please contact us at info@citysecuritymagazine.com or visit our website www.citysecuritymagazine.com for further information. You can also follow us on twitter@citysecuritymag.

We hope you enjoy the read.
