Coping with Overvoltage
On many of today’s modern vehicles the measured voltage can be higher than 12v in order to cope with the additional electronic devices and electric motors.
Bulbs for cars are currently manufactured to operate at 12v and tested at 13.2v however, if the constant running voltage is higher than this it can result in a rapid decrease in the life expectancy of the bulb. Ring Automotive’s Long Life bulbs provide a better resistance to vehicle overvoltage.
