This year, Isona Passola‘s Barcelona- based production company Massa D‘Or Produccions celebrated its 20th anniversary. One of its most recent productions, Agustí Villaronga‘s Black Bread, won nine Goya awards and 13 Gaudi awards from the Catalan Film Academy. Isona is currently developing Casa Johnstone, based on two Nancy Johnstone novels, which would require an English-language cast for this Spanish majority co- production.

Daniel Bekerman‘s recent projects have included the meta-sci-fi feature You Are Here and the feature documentary and web-based platform An Inconvenient Youth. He is currently at the fi nancing stage on Jeff rey St. Jules‘ cult 1950’s musical Bang Bang Baby, Be A Man, a dark comedy with Bruce McDonald attached to direct, and The People Garden, an extreme love story with Nadia Litz attached as writer/director.

April Mullen is a co-founder of the award-winning production company WANGO Films whose previous two features, Rock, Paper, Scissors: The Way of the Tosser and Gravy Train, were released theatrically in Canada. April‘s latest fi lm, Dead Before Dawn 3D, is the fi rst Canadian feature to be shot in stereoscopic 3D. She is currently in development on her next feature and a comedic television series, both set to shoot in 2013.
Almost Memory by Brazil‘s Ruy Guerra. He has spent many years developing a fi lm entitled Come Back which is based on true events set in the Portuguese immigrant community in Toronto and could be an ideal candidate for co-production with Canada.

English-born Rajvinder Uppal entered the fi lm and television industry in 1999, working for the BBC and Granada Television as an assistant director and fl oor manager. She emigrated to Vancouver in 2003, beginning as an assistant director on a number of projects before moving into producing. Rajvinder is currently developing a number of projects with her own production company, At The End of the Day Productions.

In 1994-95, Donato Rotunno co-founded the Luxembourg and Belgium arms of Tarantula. He has produced over 15 feature films, including Calvaire by Fabrice du Welz and Nue Propriété by Joachim Lafosse. Donato has also directed two feature films, In A Dark Place and Amok, and is currently developing a co- production with Polish producer-director Dariusz Jablonski, Immigrants, based on events at a Canadian airport in 2007.
