Greenway House, Galmpton An exceptional show of contemporary British art, sculpture, poetry and performances from some of the region’s finest practitioners. Situated in Greenway’s beautiful garden, the sixth ‘Great Create’ offers an interesting insight into current art trends within the cultural community. BRITISH FIREWORKS CHAMPIONSHIPS


The Hoe, Plymouth The most anticipated event in the city’s annual events calendar will see thousands of spectators heading up to the Hoe for two evenings of entertainment culminating in spectacular fireworks displays. This year will be the Champion of Champions competition in which the winners from the past six years will compete for the prestigious ‘British Fireworks Champion of Champions’ title. Entertainment starts from 6pm with live music as well as fairground rides and refreshment stalls. The first firework displays will start at around 9.30pm each evening as dusk arrives. Contact:

TORBAY WEEK SAILING REGATTA Torbay


Four full days of sailing for keelboats and dinghies. With daily prize givings being held in the various clubs (Brixham Yacht Club, Paignton Sailing Club and the Royal Torbay Yacht Club) around the bay, along with fine entertainment and social events every evening, this is shaping up to be a fantastic event.
